How to Consult a Homeopath Online

Can I see a Homeopath Online in New Zealand?

Yes! Homeopaths all over the world offer consultations online.

If you’re looking for a homeopath in New Zealand, you’re not alone. More and more people are turning to homeopathy for gentle, natural support with their health. New Zealand is well placed to meet that need with many well-trained, friendly homeopaths. But they are not always geographically where you are. Online consultations have become popular.

When I first trained, virtual consultations were not popular among homeopaths. Physically being with the client was an important  part of the case-taking procedure. But we have moved with the times, especially since covid-era lockdowns, and learnt how to reduce the barriers to effective case-taking online. Homeopathy is now accessible to anyone with an internet connection.

If you can visit your local homeopath in person, please do so. Otherwise, you can choose almost any homeopath in the world.

How to Choose the Best Online Homeopath

In New Zealand there are no government regulations about who can call themselves a homeopath. However, there is a professional body, the New Zealand Council of Homeopaths which holds its members to high professional standards. They maintain a searchable register of members

This is a great place to start looking for a homeopath to work with - in person or online.

When choosing a homeopath, you will want someone who is qualified and has appropriate experience. You will also want someone you connect with on a personal level, someone who will really listen & respect you and who you can trust - so that a good working relationship can develop.

Ask around for recommendations, read reviews and take advantage of the free discovery calls that most offer.

What should I Expect from an Online Consultation?

Your consultation will be via a video call (for example, Zoom or Teams). A link will be emailed to you prior to the time of the consultation.

Most people have no problem with this technology - if you are new to it, please allow a few minutes before the appointment to get set up. If you are having technical difficulties (it happens to the best of us) let your homeopath know - they often have a backup plan or will wait while you sort it out.

Once you are connected with your homeopath, the consultation will proceed more or less as an in-person consultation. You can read more about the consultation here (scroll to secand half of the page).

Afterwards, the homeopath will email you a prescription & any advice discussed during the consultation.

Where Will I get my Remedies From?

Your homeopath will help you source whatever remedies they prescribe for you. It is a great idea to have a home-prescribers emedy kit in the house for acute situations - saves a lot of time.

For other remedies, when I see clients online, I supply directly to my New Zealand clients and I have a network of pharmacies, dispensaries & colleagues who supply remedies to my international clients.
